Throughout their career, Styx have wowed audiences with their theatrical performances and sing-along favorites. The band formed in 1972 with a prolific work ethic that saw them releasing a new album every year during their first decade. “Lady” became their breakthrough hit which reached #6 in the charts in 1973. They’ve traveled the world numerous times with huge productions that complemented their theatrical setlists. They’ve explored all corners of popular music with hard-edged rockers like “Blue Collar Man,” sensitive ballads like “Show Me the Way” and conceptual pieces like “Mr. Roboto.”

Their Crowning Achievement

Styx’s latest album, Crash of the Crown, was released in 2021. Written during the pandemic, their 17th studio recording features the classic Styx sound with bluesy guitar licks, proggy keyboards and plenty of big, harmonized hooks. Singer/guitarist Tommy Shaw says of the album, “Everything came out exactly the way we wanted to hear it.”
